Dropout to Judge

 

  • A judge with over 15 years’ experience. Served in the civil, domestic violence, juvenile and family divisions of the courts
  • Graduate of Florida State University (Law), Florida International University, and Miami-Dade College
  • Appointed in 2006 to the county court bench and elevated to the circuit bench in 2008
  • Served as Associate Administrative Judge of the Juvenile Division, where he presided over cases to protect children that were abused, abandoned, or neglected
  • Guest lecturer for several organizations, including National U.S. Constitution Day
  • Mentoring youth through internships and lectures about the importance of staying in school and pursuing higher educational degrees
  • Adjunct Professor at Miami Dade College and formerly with University of Miami
  • Served on the City of Coral Gables Historic Preservation Board
  • Interned for The Florida Senate, Committee on Executive Business, Ethics, and Elections
  • Interned in the U.S. Congress for a U.S. Senator from Florida
  • Bagger and cashier at Grand Union Supermarket
